Terms & Conditions

1) Definitions

“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to Baba Loknath Fiber Door House operating the brand Glass Fiber Doors. “Client”, “you”, or “your” refers to the person or entity purchasing our products/services. “Order” means a confirmed scope with pricing and timelines; “Site” means the installation location.

2) Scope

These Terms govern all quotations, orders, supply of materials, fabrication, delivery, installation, repairs and support provided by us, and also your use of our website www.glassfiberdoors.com.

3) Quotations & Validity

• Quotations are typically valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
• Prices are based on shared drawings/measurements and may change after final site measurement or scope change.
• Any promotional offers or timelines are subject to stock availability and current material prices.

4) Orders & Payments

• Orders are confirmed on written approval (email/WhatsApp) and receipt of advance.
• Default payment terms (unless agreed otherwise): 50% advance to start fabrication, 40% before installation dispatch, 10% upon completion/hand-over.
• All amounts are payable in INR. Title to goods passes only after full payment.
• Delay in payments may pause work or attract storage/demurrage charges where applicable.

5) Site Visits & Measurements

• Final billing dimensions are as per our verified site measurement; practical tolerances apply.
• The Client ensures access, safety and readiness (civil openings, lintel/level, power) for accurate measurement and installation.
• Re-visits due to site unavailability or readiness may be chargeable.

6) Fabrication & Materials

• Materials and hardware are as per the approved quote; equivalent brands/specs may be used if originals are unavailable, with comparable quality.
• Finish shades (e.g., powder-coat/anodize) may vary slightly from samples due to batch/process differences.
• We reserve the right to optimize profiles, reinforcement and glazing to meet performance and safety needs.

7) Delivery & Installation

• Indicative timelines are shared in the quotation; they assume timely approvals and site readiness.
• Minor plaster/paint touch-ups around frames are a normal part of installation and are typically handled by the Client’s civil/paint team.
• Waste material and packaging are removed as feasible; heavy debris disposal beyond reasonable volume may be chargeable.

8) Glass Handling & Safety

• Toughened/laminated glass is processed for safety but is not unbreakable; impact, edge hits or thermal stress can cause breakage.
• After installation and hand-over, accidental damage and misuse are not covered by warranty.
• Clients must avoid drilling/cutting frames or glass; contact us for modifications.

9) Warranty

• Workmanship warranty: 12 months from hand-over for fabrication/installation defects.
• Hardware carries OEM warranty as per brand policy.
• Sealants/gaskets are consumables; performance is subject to site conditions and maintenance.
• Warranty service is provided during business hours within service areas; outstation visits may be chargeable for logistics.

10) Repairs, Maintenance & Exclusions

• Exclusions: normal wear/tear, civil/structural movement, improper use, chemical damage, water ingress due to non-standard slopes or external causes.
• Post-handover adjustments caused by third-party works (tiling, false ceiling, carpentry, etc.) are chargeable.
• Glass breakage after hand-over is not covered unless expressly included by OEM policy.

11) Delays & Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays beyond our control, including but not limited to extreme weather, strikes, transport issues, epidemics, supplier constraints, or governmental orders. Timelines will be reasonably adjusted.

12) Change Requests & Variations

• Any changes to approved drawings/specs must be confirmed in writing.
• Variations may impact price and schedule; we will issue a revised proposal for approval.

13) Drawings, Photos & Intellectual Property

• Designs, drawings and documents we produce remain our intellectual property unless transferred in writing.
• We may photograph completed works for our portfolio/website/social media. If you prefer not to, please inform us in writing; we respect such requests and can anonymize or avoid identifiable details.

14) Client Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information, timely approvals and site access.
• Ensure safe working conditions and necessary permissions within the premises.
• Protect installed products from other ongoing trades until hand-over.

15) Pricing, Taxes & Invoices

• Prices are exclusive of GST and applicable taxes/levies unless stated otherwise.
• Invoices are payable as per the agreed schedule; late payments may incur interest/charges as permitted by law.

16) Cancellation & Refunds

• Made-to-order items are not cancellable/refundable once fabrication starts.
• If the Client cancels before fabrication, reasonable costs (design, admin, procurement) may be deducted from any advance refund.
• If we are unable to fulfill due to our sole fault, advances for unexecuted scope will be refunded.

17) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for the specific defective service/product. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses (loss of profit, goodwill, use, data), except where prohibited by applicable law.

18) Privacy

We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. By engaging us, you consent to such processing for quotations, execution and support.

19) Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Nadia, West Bengal shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to the dispute resolution clause below.

20) Dispute Resolution

• Parties shall first attempt amicable resolution within 30 days of a written notice of dispute.
• If unresolved, Parties may pursue legal remedies in the competent courts as above.

21) Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with the “Last updated” date.

22) Notices

Official notices may be sent to: biswas@glassfiberdoors.com or delivered to our address mentioned above. Client notices shall be sent to the contact provided in the order.

23) Acceptance

By approving our quotation, paying the advance, or allowing work to commence, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms.
